Participate in workshops, individualized mentoring, and hands-on learning designed to prepare you for your volunteer role.
The curriculum below applies to volunteers who will be inside the pasture.
Volunteers serving in remote, administrative, marketing, fundraising, or other off-site support roles are not required to complete the on-site mentoring sessions or practicums. Role-specific onboarding will be provided based on your volunteer position.

Applications are accepted year-round. Enrollment in a training cohort occurs only after we’ve had an opportunity to get to know one another through our required introductory experience.
Attendance at our complementary introductory class, Horses & BEYOND! is part of our mutual interview process. It’s an opportunity for us to get to know you, for you to get to know us, and together determine whether Beyond Liberty is the right fit.
All new volunteers participate in this two-session foundational training weekend, led by Certified Carolyn Resnick Method Instructor Hannah Francis of Free Spirit Stables.
