Give the gift of wellness to a teacher you love.
Let them know they’re seen, valued, and appreciated—not just for what they do, but for who they are. ❤️
The modern classroom requires immense energy, patience, and emotional resilience. Over time, the constant demands of teaching can contribute to chronic stress, fatigue, and burnout. Educators often spend their days caring for the needs of others while putting their own well-being last.
This workshop is an opportunity to pause, recharge, and reconnect. Through mindfulness, Tai Chi, Qigong, nature, and the grounding presence of horses, participants will learn practical, science-informed tools for stress reduction, nervous system regulation, and well-being—tools they can carry with back to their classrooms.
This immersive one-day workshop is designed specifically for educators—blending Tai Chi, Qigong, mindfulness, and the grounding presence of rescue horses to help reduce stress, restore balance, and support nervous system regulation.
The teacher you gift won’t just enjoy a restorative day in nature. They’ll leave with practical, science-informed tools for well-being and mindful movement—tools they can carry with them into the fall and bring back to their classrooms throughout the school year.

Gentle Tai Chi and Qigong practices chosen for their ability to lower stress hormones, improve mental clarity, and restore physical energy. These moving meditations connect breath with intention.
Restorative time in nature alongside sanctuary rescue horses. Their presence helps anchor human heart rates and promotes deep awareness — a phenomenon known as limbic resonance.
A personal toolkit of brief somatic exercises — 1-minute to 5-minute routines to use between class periods or whenever they need to quickly recenter on a chaotic Monday morning.
The Science Behind It
Traditional professional development focuses on pedagogy. This workshop addresses the physiological toll of teaching — where somatic healing comes in.
Cortisol is the body’s primary stress hormone. Chronic high cortisol from the daily pressures of teaching can impair cognitive function, disrupt sleep, and weaken the immune system.
Mindful movement is scientifically proven to lower cortisol levels, bringing the body out of “fight or flight” and back into a state of restorative balance.
Research published by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) demonstrates that these practices:

Horses communicate primarily through body language and energy. When humans interact with them, we must become completely present and grounded. This phenomenon — known as limbic resonance — naturally calms the human nervous system, making the sanctuary an ideal environment for stress relief and genuine restoration.
Rob bridges 25 years of classroom teaching experience with deep study and practice of mindful movement — helping educators reclaim their well-being, longevity, and joy in teaching.
Rob Owen understands the unique, compounding pressures of the classroom firsthand. He spent 25 years working directly with students in the private school system, navigating the exact same behavioral, administrative, and emotional challenges educators face daily.
Simultaneously, he dedicated his life to the deep study and practice of mindful movement. Now, as the founder of Move 2 Focus, he bridges these two worlds — bringing evidence-based somatic tools directly to the people who need them most.
His mission: help educators reclaim their well-being, longevity, and joy in teaching through the intelligence of the body.
