Respite and Recovery Program

Respite and recovery is a valuable opportunity for your horse to take a break from his usual routine or work. This is often necessary if your horse is showing signs of burnout or emotional shutdown.

Horses in our Respite and Recovery Program, after an initial acclimation period, will live in community. Community living at Beyond Liberty includes:

  • Spacious Natural Environments: Horses will have ample room to move freely in large, natural settings.
  • Socialization with Other Horses: Living in herds with compatible companions encouraging natural social behaviors.
  • Positive Human Interactions: Opportunities for socialization and positive interactions with humans.
  • Regular Feeding and Supplementation: Ensuring horses receive proper nutrition.
  • Educational and Therapeutic Programs: Horses can choose to participate in activities such as meditation, music therapy, walk/talk therapy, nature walks, and gardening.
  • Regular Grooming: Maintaining their physical well-being.
  • 24/7 On-Site Supervision: Ensuring safety and care at all times.
  • Routine Medical, Dental, and Farrier Care: Comprehensive health maintenance.
  • High Level of Individual Care: Each horse receives exceptional attention, love, and care.

General medical needs can be accommodated, although they may incur an additional charge.
